Employers are typically required to advertise the job in specific ways and for a specific duration to give resident workers an opportunity to apply. However, certain situations, such as jobs on the Shortage Occupation List or positions requiring specific skills, may be exempt from this test. Employers must carefully follow the guidelines provided by the Home Office to comply with the Resident Labor Market Test.
